Asus GTX 590 Graphics card Snapped and Unboxed

A lucky soul from PCINLIFE Forums managed to get his hands on a retail sample of Nvidia's upcoming dual GPU graphics card. If you head over to the original link, you'll notice many of these cards in a single box all ready to be shipped. The graphics card itself is massive with an estimated length of about 11-inches similar to older dual GPU cards from Nvidia.

Asus has its own little decoration on the heatsink with green stripes running across the card. The entire cooler is closed so the hot air is only dispensed out side the case through the vents in the rear. The large fan in the center should be enough for cooling the card and maintaining quite operation at the same time. There's no telling yet but we guess the heatsink uses the same vapor chamber technology used in the new '5 series' cards. Since these are essentially two graphics cards made to work in SLI, you get 3DVision Surround support right out of the box. The second picture shows all three DVI connectors along with a single mini-DP connector. The card will also support SLI for anyone insane enough to buy two of these.
