Today, everyone is aware of computer. We all know about computers, what computer do, but have you ever given a thought on how to build computer? Isn’t it adventurous to think that you can construct your own computer. But to make sure that your adventure turns into reality here are some tips.

Sometimes due to lack of knowledge in building computer system one can incur huge cost. That is why below is the list of reasons why one should know how to build computer.

1.To have good Operating System and not any pre-packaged software.

2.This will give you good understanding of your computer system.

3.If your system ever gets static then you can replace parts instead of replacing your system.

In order to build computer, you should know what kind of features of computer you are looking for. Are you looking for compact system or you are looking for a system enabled with all gaming features. Once you have finished your decision making you can move forward and select parts. Let’s start with motherboard.

Motherboard: This is one of the most important parts of computer system. All other stuffs like CPU, RAM etc get attached to motherboard. Never compromise to cheaper motherboard. I would suggest you to have Intel dual core for your system and if you are looking for something bigger you have to spend more bucks over it.

CPU (Central Processing Unit): It is the main processing unit of your computer system. It basically contains logical circuits that performs certain operations and displays result on output screen. You can settle yourself with Intel Dual Core Processor but if you want to have raw machine try Quad Core. Most important thing to remember is to select right brand for your system.

Power Supply: In case your computer case does not contain power supply you can have one but make sure that the power supply you select should match your motherboard. You should go for 300 watt power for your system. But if you are building computer for gaming purpose then you have to select higher power supply.

RAM (Random Access Memory): Good computer system should have at least 2 GB RAM support for ordinary machine and 4 GB for heavy one and also make sure that it comes with accurate pin configuration.

Video Card: Video Card is necessary for any computer system as it improves video quality of the videos played over it. 1 GB is sufficient for any computer system. You can find many motherboards that support more than one Video Card but it’s better to use such Motherboard only when required. Nvidia and ATI are some of the top name or we must say top brands name of Video Cards.

Optical Drive: Optical drive is equipment that uses laser in order to read or write information on CD or DVD. If you want to build computer for your office or home try to get these drive at cheaper rates. Make sure that these drive burns CDs and DVDs correctly.

Hard Drive: SATA better known as Serial ATA drives are counted among the best ones in case of hard drives. Their size may vary from 60 GB to 1 TB depending upon the requirements and capacity of motherboard. If you love gaming go for hard disk with higher storage capacity.

Operating System: For average user I would personally recommend Windows XP as it is the operating system most people are aware of so if you get some technical faults with this operating system you won’t find it difficult to fix that fault. Also window XP is simple in use and you can install it very easily.

So before going to buy the parts for your system try to do some research work over internet regarding their brand names, price and ratings. Once you are done, you can visit any local retailer to get those parts. Assemble all the components in a logical manner and your handmade computer is ready to use. By the above mentioned tips one can make his own computer.
